Broadcast
programs can cost up to $ 750,000.00 or moreper
episode depending on content. This is why we rely
on the networks to bring you quality programming.
When they deliberately leave out vital information,
independent producers such as myself have to go
out and raise the necessary funds to produce these
films usually on shoe string budgets.
We
need to raise $ 175,000.00.
Unfortunately,
we can never afford the high end camera systems
required, nor the monies to be able to acquire
certain key elements that would lend to our investigations.
We
are always faced with very little budget, no access
to high end equipment and therefore, no real foundation
for presenting our evidence.
The
other hurdle we always face is our films are not
broadcast quality, consequently we cannot sell
them for broadcast airing and wind up having to
release them on DVDs. This is why broadcast programming
is expensive to produce because it must pass broadcast
standards.
